B+W UV Haze Filter
I've heard that poor quality filters can hurt image quality. Is this a good one? What is the benefit of MRC?
Is this a good UV filter?
A poor quality filter placed over a high quality lens can ruin its performance. Light passes through the filter and becomes scattered (bounces). A filter made by the lens maker is the best bet to insure good image quality.

B+W is as good as it gets in filters.
Reply:I would say nothing is better than Schneider (I used to sell for them), but that is a bit of a stiff price for a UV filter.
There are other optical glass filters out there for about 1/2 the price.
