Picture stroage in my cannon power shot?

this drives me crazy when i take a picture


and my camera stores it





it flips it horazontally , is there a setting i can change to make it stay on the original side it was taken on

Yep, there sure is. I have the same camera and I hated that too. you hit the menu button and then go to the settings. Go down until you see something that says rotation or something related to that

Turn it off.





And don't be afraid to change settings in you camera's menus. There's a "reset to factory settings" there somewhere if you really screw things up.
