How to develop stencils using a UV lamp?

Does anyone know how to develop a stencil using a UV lamp? i make a drawing in photoshop, print it out on transparent sheet then i need to develop it under a UV lamp to make a stencil to paint, etch or draw round. Any suggestions. Thanks

I think you may have misunderstood the nature of the process. What you are describing is the procedure for making up a silk screen for printing.





To do this you will have to have darkroom conditions, and coat a silkscreen thinly on both sides with photo-sensitive emulsion using an emulsion trough. Let it dry flat,(do not expose it to light) then place your transparency over it and expose it according to the emulsion manufacturers instructions. Once exposed the screen must be washed out under water pressure to remove the unset emulsion from the positive space caused by the transparency.
