How much did you spend on the vehicle used to transport your photography equipment? What MPG does it get?

I have a Nissan X-trail Ti . It chews up the gas on short trips but is great on long trips,I like it and it's big enough to cart around a lot of paintings.

How much did you spend on the vehicle used to transport your photography equipment? What MPG does it get?
Right now I am using a Toyota Corolla ($15k). Wonderful MPG (30+), but it requires regular maintenance now that it is 8 years old.





My next vehicle gets infinite miles to the gallon and costs less than $600 - a bicycle plus a trolley pass! Getting to the beach in my car costs $6 one way. With the bicycle and NO pass, it is $5 round trip. Plus, it's a lot easier to park a bicycle than a car.
