How do u colour in portraits with colour pencils or pencils?

i found out u could do it with colour pencils on the internet,but i don't know how to,i could sketch them
How do u colour in portraits with colour pencils or pencils?
Get a book on drawing portraits. Take a class. Practice copying faces from magazines. Start with pencil and learn to shade by rubbing the pencil strokes softly with your fingers or a tissue. Then try the colored pencils. Practice,practice,practice.
