Do you think this painting could be in a gallery?

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll308...

It was painted by a 14-year-old. The blue is not part of the painting, it is the carpet, and I am sorry about the poor angle at which the picture is taken.
Do you think this painting could be in a gallery?
I don't know if its gallery ready but I like it! Keep at it!

I love art and I wish I could paint. Its a lot better than anything I could come up with.
Do you think this painting could be in a gallery?
Uh.........What is it??? I mean I guess it is ok.......but it is not for the gallery. Sorry.
Reply:It Is Quite Good But I Think It Needs A Bit More Work To Be In A Gallery

No Offence

.x.
Reply:it looks like a tongue coming out of a eye...
Reply:it is very artistic, but i dont htink its good enough to be put into a gallery... but the person who painted could try to sell it to one.

like really any one can paint somthing like that.

galleries will only buy new - creative ideas
Reply:Yes it could go into an art gallery of children鈥檚 art. Most galleries require the artist be at least 18 years old to exhibit. But there are always exceptions. Check around in your locale and inquire by talking to the owner or person in charge.

Keep Arting!

Reply:Yes, why not anything goes.
Reply:Mushrooms, throats with tongues sticking out, eyes with falling teardrops...the beauty of your painting is that it can be pretty much whatever the viewer decides they think it is.

This also would give a gallery curator much more bull$hit room with their potential customers.

Most definitely I could see something like this in a gallery and actually selling for several thousand dollars!

Great job...sell it on ebay!

I see all sorts of paintings like this selling all the time on ebay. Offices and the like hang stuff like this all the time.

Keep up the good work and soon enough someone with mega-bucks will pass by, see it and the rest as we say will be history. You'll be famous and have artwork selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars....just like Jackson Pollock or even Picasso!

While in my opinion their paintings weren't the greatest or even make any sense whatsoever, very wealthy people saw their work and decided to sponsor or back the artists with funds that the artists would optherwise never have, to get their work into famous and highly prestigious galleries, shouting to the world how great these artists work was and how collectable it would become...thus driving the prices skyward and prodding the very rich to scrammble to the local galleries where these paintings were hung, purchase several pieces from these virtually unknowns and from then on their stardom grew exponentially!!!

That aside and excuse my ranting, your painting is just fine and to answer your question directly...Yes, i could see this painting in a gallery :)

Our freedoms of opinion are kept free through the sacrifices of our men and women in harms way at the moment (U.S. Military) God bless them all!

Reply:Considering what I've seen in galleries-yes!

Also because its very clean and finished work. I've been selling my daughters work on Ebay since she was 11yrs-go check that out perhaps. Galleries are hard to get into as an adult and they take 40% usually-but local art shows for students, postercontests and Ebay have given my daughter experience and fun monies- Good luck!
Reply:Well I think I could because I was a little arty kid when i was little and I am now being trained to do art ( Traditional Art )
Reply:I personally think the composition is very good. The technique could use some refinement.

As a gallery owner, I'd say it's not quite gallery ready yet, but the artist has a good eye (no pun intended!) and should be encouraged.
